In Honor of Creative Writing

Well, since you guys seemed to enjoy the last poem, I made a sequel! 🙂

Alarm clock rings:

Ringa ding.

Now you got things

to do. Zing!

No time left.

Like pen theft,

Instead a screen

And your scene.

Want to write–

Really do.

But you’ve a plight.

Blast it school.

Science paper,

Math hater,

School dictator,

And graders!

Night has come.

Brain is numb.

Your face is glum.

“Bedtime.” “Mum!”

Desperate,

Desolate,

This is wretched.

Tests are dread.

Then you hear

‘bout a class.

But do you dare

Or you scared?

CW– What?

What is that?

Creative Writing.

Writers uniting!

  1. Please write more poetry! This poem is absolutely brilliant. The pains of any other school subject that is not CW: very very relatable. It made me smile from ear to ear as I read it. Good job 🙂

    • Thanks so much for your comment! It really made my day to have all you guys say that. I’ve always thought my poetry was terrible, but I’ve found that I actually enjoying writing it, and now that I realize you guys enjoy reading it, I feel even more encouraged. Thank you. 🙂
